Rustic Garden

St Albans

Reclaimed timber and bricks were used to create this charming little garden in the conservation area of St Albans. The brief was to transform a shady, under used space, with a muddy lawn into a rustic garden for entertaining. A gnarled, old olive tree forms the centrepiece of the mediterranean planting scheme.

Set within a wild flower meadow, mature trees and winding paths, this garden features a zip line, rope bridge and willow tunnel. For the adults, a sunken seating area provides refuge. Set further back a shepherds hut and large patio create an outdoor living space for those warm summer evenings.

A collaboration with local designer Jane Anthony of ‘The Art of Gardens’, the brief was to turn her vision for this new build property into reality. Attention to detail was paramount in this project due to the high specification of the materials selected.

Large Garden Refurbishment

Ashwell

Set just outside of the picturesque village of Ashwell in Herts, this project involved creating an outdoor space more befitting of the grand property it surrounded. The main feature was a large porcelain patio with new retaining walls and steps leading up to the lawn. Other features included a composite deck outside the pool house, oak pergola, barbecue area and raised beds.

Family Garden

Harpenden

A garden for all the family to enjoy, children and adults. For the younger members a large artificial lawn complete with sunken trampoline in one corner. For the adults a decked bar area complete with custom made bar tops and seating.

Apsley

Winding paths edged by gabion stone walls leading up the garden characterise this project. The lawn area and dense planting help soften the hard landscaping while a small seating area at the far end catches the last rays of the evening sun.

Garden For Entertaining

Having recently purchased the property as a new build the client wished to create a contemporary garden that was ideal for entertaining. The requirement was also for a large lawn area, pergola, water feature and ample bed space for planting.

Chesham

Set in the beautiful Chilterns the task here was daunting. Transform an overgrown site with difficult access and a multitude of slopes into an attractive usable space. In addition to paving area and lawn the clients also wanted a wildlife friendly space.
